Online Bookings

8-11 guests must leave Credit Card details to secure – Please note: when dining from our a la carte menu, if your reservation is cancelled within 24 hours or if the group does not show up to the booking, the credit card provided will be charged a cancellation fee of $20 per person.

12-19 guests must leave Credit Card details to secure & select a set menu Please note: Groups of 12 or more are required to select a set menu. If your reservation is cancelled within 24 hours, the credit card provided will be charged the total food costs for the confirmed number of guests. Any reduction in attendees on the day may also be charged the full food cost at the Managers Discretion.

Menus & Beverages

Groups of 12 or more are required to select a set menu.

All prices and menus are current at the time of quotation and are valid for 7 days.

GG reserves the right to change menus and prices, according to seasonal variations and produce availability in consultation with the client.

GG may also substitute selected beverages with others of equal value if preferred selection is unavailable for any reason.

Should you or any of your guests have any dietary requirements, GG will aim to meet your needs wherever possible. Please be aware that at least 48 hours notice is required to

accommodate special dietary requirements. Any dietary requirements which are not confirmed prior to the event will be charged an additional $40 per meal provided on the day for groups larger than 30 guests.

BYO - GG’s does not allow BYO unless specially arranged with the Manager in advance, this may result in a corkage fee.

Events

GG reserves the right to book other events where appropriate within the establishment which may coincide with your booking.

GG may request the presence of event security which would be charged to the client accordingly.

GG takes the responsible serving of alcohol very seriously and may request ID on demand as well as monitoring people’s behavior while drinking alcohol.

White linen table cloths are available for use and will incur a flat rate of $120 for use to cover laundry and set up costs. 

Cakeage - There is a $3pp Cakeage fee to bring your own cake, lolly table or the equivalent, unless otherwise arranged with the Manager.

Confirmation

A tentative reservation will be held for 7 days. After this time, a completed booking form including payment of an agreed deposit is required to lock in your event. Should GG not

receive a booking form and deposit within the agreed time frame, GG may release the booking to other enquirers.

Function Cancellation

1) In the unlikely event of a cancellation, deposits can either be refunded, suspended for future use or transferred onto an agreed upon date if prior to the 22 day grace period pre event date.

2) If the booking is cancelled within 21 days or less of the event date, the deposit paid will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.

3) If an event is cancelled within 7 days of the event, the client will be charged 50% of the total food cost.

4) If an event is cancelled within 4 days of the booking, the client will be charged 100% of the total food costs and at management’s discretion additional charges may be necessary.

Final Numbers

Notification of the minimum number of guests attending is required no less than 5 days prior to the function either via email or phone.

Please note: hosts will be charged the total food costs for the confirmed final numbers regardless of a reduction in attendees on the day.

Increases to the confirmed number of guests in attendance after this point will be at management’s discretion.

PAYMENT

1.5% surcharge applies to all AMEX/ Mastercard and Visa transactions

No fees apply to any EFT or Eftpos payment

Clarendon Room

Seated Capacity- 20-100

Flexible floor plans with either rectangular tables from 8-22 guests or round tables with a maximum of 10 per table. $120 supplement applies to round tables with compulsory white table cloths.

Standing Capacity- 20-160

Standing functions includes use of two high bar tables with 6 stools each, up to 2 large wine barrels with 4 stools each and use of lounges where possible.

Events requiring the entire GG venue, minimum spends are on consultation. Additional 5% services fee also applies to events requiring exclusive use.

Special Events

GG reserves the right to amend any Ts and Cs to specifically cover a special event such as Mother’s Day/ Christmas Day, Game Day Special’s etc..

These may include but are not limited to taking larger deposits or full payments at the time of booking, groups of any size having to select a set menu and having a set time duration for the period of your meal.

Further discounts, such as Entertainment Cards, may not be used on Special Days or with Special Promotions unless otherwise stated.

Game Day Special excludes Finals and is limited to AFL games played at the MCG.

Locals Lunch and Corporate Lunch - Not available to groups of 12 or more in July. Can be retracted at any time.

Audiovisual

The Clarendon Room is fully equipped for presentations and speeches with projector, drop down screen and wireless microphone.

Our system is compatible with Windows and Apple.

Additional AV and staging can be arranged through our preferred supplier and charged accordingly.

Entertainment

The client must advise GG of any planned entertainment or performances at the venue.

GG reserves the right to refuse said entertainment or performances. Furthermore, GG reserve the right to reduce the volume of all music or live entertainment at any time.

Please be mindful of our residential neighbors, there may be restrictions for entertainment and amplified music which your function contact will discuss with you.
